    1. Because that's what a healthy dog should look like, if you can't see ribs they are overweight.

  2. I agree with Brina - he looks way too thin - not only his ribs but his back bone and his hips - he looks very unhealthy. He is beautiful but he needs something that he is not getting. I hope you have a great Vet.

  3. I am afraid that you are incorrect on this Paula. This dog. Is definitely having issues. You can see not only the ribs but also his spine. I would classify this dog at a 3 tops more likely a. 2-3 on a scale of 1 equals emaciated, 5 is perfect condition and 10 being obese. This dog should weigh in at approximately 200 to 220 easy to achieve a 5..

  5. If Zeus is eating that I much a day, then he is most likely likely being fed a crappy brand that's full of fillers and not much nutrition! The owners of Zeus need to do their homework and find a high protein, no filler great quality food for him. After all, he can't pick his own and depends on his owners to make excellent decisions for him.

  7. I just feel sad when I see this. I can't believe that ribs and spine showing like this is a sign of good health and I wish I had news that he was in better condition.
